Goal:

Children will gain a better understanding as to what the One True God is really like.

Objectives:

1. Children will learn that the Bible gives us information about the One True God.

2. Children will learn that our God is a God of love.

3. Children can look at the creation and appreciate the power and might of Eloah.

4. Children will learn that the One True God Eloah knows all and see all.

Lesson:

Children’s questions are in bold. This is a general review of the material covered in the study paper.

Q1. When you look at creation can you see what God is really like?

A. Yes. The creation reveals much about God and His qualities.

Q2. What are some of God’s qualities?

A. God is love (1Jn. 4:8). He is pure and holy (Prov. 30:5). He is perfect (2Sam. 22:31).

He is one (Deut. 6:4). He is powerful (Deut. 3:24). He is faithful (Deut. 32:4). He is

solid and unchanging (Num. 23:19). He is a God of peace (Col. 1:20). He is a God of

compassion and comfort (2Cor. 1:3-4). God listens (Jn. 9:31). God is truth (Deut.

25:15).

Q3. God’s spirit of love produces spiritual fruits. Can you name some of them?

A. The spiritual fruits are love, joy, peace longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

meekness and temperance (Gal. 5:22-26).

Q4. How do we get this spirit of love?

A. Through His Holy Spirit when we have repented and are baptized; then God offers

this love as a gift.

Q5. When scripture says God is love, does anyone know what that means?

A. Everything God does for us is done out of love. God has perfect love and His love

covers all sins (1Jn. 4:8).

Q6. What does it mean when Christ said, he and God are “one”?

A. God the Father and Christ are of one spirit. They thought, acted and responded

in the same way. That is why scripture says that Christ is the image of the

invisible God (Col. 1:15).

Q7. God is a God of compassion and comfort. With that in mind, how are we to treat

other people?

A. Through the sacrifice of Christ, God has made us His friends. Friends give and

share, and comfort each other when trouble comes upon them (2Cor. 1:3-4).

Q8. When you hide in a closet or under the bed, do you think God can still see you?

A. There is nowhere that God cannot find you or see you. He knows where you are and

what you are thinking at all times.

Q9. By loving and obeying God’s law we show God that we love Him. What do His laws and commandments reveal?

A. His laws and commandments reveal who God is and they reflect His nature (Ps. 119:97,113).

Q10. How do we show God that we love Him?

A. By keeping His laws. Not because we have to but because we want to please Him.

(Jn. 14:15)

Q11. When you observe the law of God what understanding do you acquire?

A. You understand the plan of God.

Q12. Why did God create man and woman?

A. One of the reasons was to unite man and woman in marriage. He gave us the

7^th commandment to obey, which is: Thou shalt not commit adultery. By observing

this one commandment we can understand what it is to be faithful. (Ex. 20:14)

Q13. What happens when we are faithful to one another?

A. We establish trust in each other which leads to loyalty and sacrifice and then to

love, which God wants us to do as a way of life.

Q14. On the other hand what happens when we are unfaithful and lie to each other?

A. Lies promote heartache, mistrust and disloyalty, which lead to hate, murder and

ultimately death.

Q15. Satan lied to Eve in the Garden of Eden. Does anyone know what Satan said to Eve?

A. Satan said: “You will not surely die”. That lie required a sacrifice. (Gen. 3:4)

Q16. Which of God’s sons laid down his life as a sacrifice for mankind?

A. The son that was appointed to lay down his life was Jesus Christ. (Jn. 1:29)

Q17. Since Christ laid down his life for us, should we worship him as we do God the

Father?

A. We are not to worship Jesus Christ or make him equal with God who created him.

We only worship God the Father because the first commandment says: “You shall

have no other gods before me”. (Ex. 20:3)

Q18. What is a carnal mind?

A. It is a mind without God’s Spirit and is set on its own desires and wants. This mind

does not see the need to obey God’s commandments. (Rom. 8:5-8)

Q19. Why do the angels, including Christ, and all of mankind call God, “Father”?

A. We all owe our very existence to God the Father. For without God nothing would

have been created. (Heb. 3:2) He brought forth life. (Gen 1:1)

Q20. Does God know what you are going to do before you do it?

A. God’s knowledge and understanding has no boundaries and He knows everything

that we have done and are going to do. God is perfect. (Mat. 5:48)

Q21. God gave mankind a lunar calendar to follow. Does anyone know why?

A. It is very important that we keep His Sabbaths, New Moons, and Holy Days on

the correct days. As each Feast represents a part of God’s plan. (Col. 2:16)

Q22. In 1Corinthians 13:4-8, it talks about love and what love is. Who do you think

of when you read these verses?

A. When we read what love is, we see what God is like. God and the love He has

for all creation will last forever.

Activities:

Number ball

Use an 8" playground ball and a permanent marker and make numbers from 1-25 in a random pattern on the ball. Play catch with the ball while playing music. When the music stops the person holding the ball answers the question number that their right index finger is pointing too.

Temple blocks or Temple stones

Supplies:

9 cup Chex cereal mix: shades of brown for the different races/tribes

1 cup chocolate chips: sweetness of Eloah and His plan.

1/2 cup peanut butter (non hydrogenated variety): man as he is beaten and refined, (they make their own peanut butter) has been tried by the fire and prepared to be made into the temple.

1/4 cup butter: oil of the holy spirit

1/4 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cup powdered sugar: spirit brothers that coat, shield and protect us.

Put cereal in large bowl. Melt chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla: Fiery trials we all go through to help make us pure complete usable vessels to Eloah.

Pour over Chex cereal, put into a large plastic bag with powdered sugar and shake well to coat: Each temple stone is worked off site and when perfected comes to the temple and joined with brothers to form the temple (Shepherd of Hermas concept).

Spread mixture evenly on wax paper and allow to cool: After the fiery trials we also cool to set the lessons/character in us.

When ready the mixture can be cut into bars and children can serve the adults the desserts they made as a service project and explain the ingredients to the adults and why they are important
