Read: Loins Gird with Truth (No. CB126)
A. We know that Satan is the father of lies and
there is no truth in him (Jn. 8:44).
A. Yes, Eloah is Truth: Deuteronomy 32:4; His Law is truth: Psalm 119:142; and we are
to have our loins gird with truth (Eph. 6:14).
A. Yes, God and His Law have always existed.
Q4. Are we to become
truth?
A. Yes, we are to become truth (Eph. 4:24, NLT).
A. Yes, it is. Truth is the central undergarment to the armour of Eloah. Many items and concepts rest on or are tied to truth. Truth is the centre of God and His Law. It is honest, pure, sincere, upright and factual, can be relied on and is correct. It implies justice because from truth things can be determined correctly and fixed in place.
Q6. Did
Pilate question Christ on what Truth was?
A. Yes, he did. Pilate said to Christ: "What is truth?" (Jn. 17:38).
Q7. Does
Satan operate or focus on the Truth?
A. No, Satan operates on the opposite system of perfect truth; he focuses
on lies, which only come to no good (Jn. 8:44).
Q8. Is God a
God of Truth?
A. Yes, He is (Isa. 65:16). God is a God of truth (Deut. 32:4; Ps. 31:15).
Q9. Which two men in the New Testament came to
bear witness of the Truth?
A. Both John the Baptist and Jesus Christ came to bear witness to the truth (Jn. 5:19-46).
A. Yes, he did. Christ is truth (Jn. 14:6; 7:17), and he is full of truth (Jn. 1:14), and he spoke the truth (Jn. 8:45). Truth came by Christ (Jn. 1:17). He bore witness to the truth (Jn. 18:37). The truth is in Christ (Rom. 9:1; 1Tim. 2:7).
A. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth (Jn. 14:17); it guides us all into the truth (Jn. 16:13).
A. Yes, truth sanctifies or sets us apart (Jn. 17:17,19). Truth is according to obeying God’s Law (Titus 1:1).
Q13. Was the entire reason for Jesus Christ’s birth, ministry and death to show us the truth?
A. Yes, it was. First the elect, then the entire world would learn the truth of God (Jn. 1 8:37).
A. The love of the truth is a mark of the elect (Jn 14:17; 15:26). People know us because we know the truth. The elect love truth and each other, and seek to strengthen and encourage each other in the truth (Lk. 22:31,32). We can only work for the truth (2Cor. 13:5-8).
Q15. If Eloah is Truth and His Law is Truth how
does truth come to us?
A. The truth comes from the Father by the Holy Spirit, and must be upheld in righteousness (Rom. 1:18). Messiah shows us the truth (Jn. 18:37).
A. Yes, God clearly condemned and punished the priesthood for not teaching the truth (Mal. 2:1-12).
A. The truth sets us free (Jn. 8:32).
Q18. At the end of the current Plan of God will all mankind and the fallen Host be reconciled back to the Father and know the truth of Eloah?
A. Yes, the end result of the Plan of God is that all Israel will be redeemed and reconciled to God, and eventually the whole world and the entire Host will be converted to the Truth of Eloah (Isa. 1:27).
A. The Church of God is based on truth; it is the pillar and ground of truth (1Tim. 3:15).
A. We are to worship the Father in Spirit and in truth (Jn. 4:23-24).
A. Blue represents the Law of God.
A. Red
represents the blood of Jesus Christ as our Passover sacrifice.
A. Purple
combines both blue and red and points us to the Royal Priesthood which combines
both the salvation given to us through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and our
love of God shown through our obedience to the Law.
A. White represents our clean garments
as we prepare ourselves to be the Bride of Christ and the perfection of Jesus
Christ.
A. Gold
was one of the metals used in the Tabernacle in the Wilderness, on the High
Priest’s garments and in the Temple Solomon built. In the Tabernacle in the
Wilderness, we see that the Ark of the Covenant located in the Holy of Holies
was also covered with gold. God’s presence was in the Ark and it was also the
receptacle of the Holy Spirit. The gold represents the indwelling of God’s Holy
Spirit in us. Just as the gold was interwoven amongst all the other strands of materials,
so too the Holy Spirit ties all the members of the Body of Christ together.
Tower of Truth:
Supplies: set of jenga blocks that are numbered, Question and Answers from paper CB126_2.
Activity: have the children play the jenga game, yet they must answer a question correctly to continue to play and have their block remain in the game.
Braided belt:
Supplies: string or lace with the colours: red, white, blue, purple, gold and belt-buckles if available.
Preparation: cut strings to the correct length per each child. Prepare a predetermined set of “key tags” (some small object that can be written on with permanent marker and has a ring on it or the capacity to have a ring attached to it) per child. Each set should contain: salvation, righteousness, truth, gospel, word of God, faith, and prayer. The tags are handed out to the adults in the congregation at the beginning of the Feast. When an adult sees the child demonstrating that aspect of the armour of Eloah, they give the tag to the child. The key tags could be colour-coded to “track” what child might need assistance to attain whatever tags they are missing midway through the Feast.
Warm up: place 5 colours of each string in an opaque bag. Have children one by one pull a string out of the bag and list either one thing on the High Priest’s robes, or in the Tabernacle in the Wilderness that is that colour or what the colour represents.
Braid the colours and make the belt.
Briefly review the pieces of the armour of Eloah and inform the children that there is a set of tags of each piece of the armour of Eloah per child. When an adult sees the child demonstrating that trait they will receive their tag. Assist children with placing their tags on the belt if necessary
At the end of the Feast gather the children and discuss which was the easiest to do and which was the most difficult.
Adaptations:
Allow each child to make a link belt – if one can still find belt kits.
Allow each child to create a belt by stamping letters or designs on the belt and then painting the belt.
